Hotel Plaza Caribe: Overview

We would go back if price was right.

I stayed at this hotel for one week in March 2005. We found a super cheap flight to Cancun and wanted to find a low cost hotel as we were trying to keep the costs down. We wanted to spend money on tours, nice restaurants, etc. \n \nI have also been to this area before and decided it didn't make sense to book an all inclusive fancy hotel, If you were going to be on tours etc. I found that I didn't get my monies worth at an all inclusive. \n \nI did a lot of research on the best western hotel prior to booking. I was a bit put off by some of the bad reviews. \n \nWhen we arrived our first impression was that the grounds were very beautiful, with nice clean landscaping, a nice swimming pool and peacocks walking around. \n \nOur room was clean with working TV and many channels in English, coffee maker, table and chairs, private shower. Also the water pressure and temp worked. I have stayed in places where the water is only hot. I did not see one bug in our room of any kind during our stay. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the smell of mould in the room. It seemed to be coming from the air conditioner. Mabye it needs cleaning. I turned off the air conditioner and the smell went away and the room also stayed at an okay temp. \n \nOverall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
