Guests who regularly stay at the Milford Plaza when in New York City generally do so because they want reasonably priced accommodations in the heart of the Theater District. Built in 1929, the hotel was thoroughly renovated in 1995 and freshly painted in attractive colors and bright wallpaper, complimented by mahogany furnishings. Rooms include 2-line phones with data ports and voice mail. Refrigerators, ironing boards and irons are available upon request. Special holiday promotions are offered.

We checked in. Took one look at our room, dumped the cases and headed off to find something else. We discovered the Marriott Marquis, who took pity on us when we told them we were at the Milford. Went back to the Milford, retrieved our cases, reception told us we had to pay for the hovel we'd booked for one night. We felt lucky to escape and had a wonderful stay at the Marriott. The Milford is the absolute pits!!!
01 Oct 2005 | A Yahoo! UserHaving travelled the world, I have found that the most important thing on a break in the city is location, and this hotel has it. The rooms are small (double bed, enough room to put two cases on the floor, chest of drawers, shower, no bath), yes that it was that small! BUT I didnt go to New York to sit in my room. Times Square is a couple of minutes walk from the lobby, there are theatres by the bucketload and the midtown location means that even a taxi from uptown (museums) or downtown (nightlife) is still quite inexpensive. If you're prepare for the room, its perfect
02 Sep 2005 | A Yahoo! UserThe location and cost of this hotel is what makes it shine. Situated just off Times square it is an ideal base to explore the city. If you visit New York you don't see much of your hotel room anyway so the fact that the rooms are basic is irrelevant. The rooms are clean and have all you need and are very reasonably priced. Each time I go to New York I stay here.
