I've now had several opportunities to stay at the Copley Plaza Hotel, and have had very positive experiences each time. As you walk in, the hotel has a very majestic, "historical" feeling to it, with a beautiful main floor complete with elegent furnishings and ornate wall and ceiling treatments. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and feel quite spacious, with high ceilings. The bathrooms feel a bit old, but are certainly clean and functional. During our last stay, we dined twice in the Oak Room, and enjoyed our meals and found the service to be very good. The staff of the hotel are helpful, and seem to genuinely want to treat guests well. One of the greatest attributes of the hotel is its absolutely ideal location, within walking distance to great shopping, dining, and historical attractions within Boston. If you are planning a trip to Boston and want to be able to take in all that the city offers, I would highly recommend staying at the Copley Plaza. It offers first-rate accommodations, along with a sense of history, and easy access to one of the World's great cities!
05 Jun 2005 | greg_makrisNow this was a stunning hotel. My wife and I had never been to Boston and didn’t really know what to expect when we arrived at The Fairmont . To our surprise, we were staying at a truly grand, beautiful and ornate hotel. It also had apparently just been renovated. For our wedding anniversary dinner, we decided to eat at the Oak Room for steaks. We were not disappointed. The best part was that the hotel offered babysitting for our daughter while we celebrated the event.
