I am a travel agent. I have been on a business trip to the Princeville resort. It is beautiful. The people are so nice and the hotel is to die for. It is a little expensive, but worth it. The views from your room and the lobby are to die for. The rooms do not have lanai's (balconys) but are the nicest rooms I have seen. It does rain a lot in Princeville, but it does not rain for a long time. It is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of hotels.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserPrevious reviews correctly describe the hotel architecture as it "...doesn't take advantage or play into the tropical surroundings." \nbut yet the grandure is lovely, the lobby is most elegant enriched by \nextravigant tropical florals, elegant furnighings, and an open view. The rooms inspire luxury and peacefullness. They are well kept, clean, and impress even a dicriminating eye- if just for the view. \n \nThe staff is attentive and friendly. This hotel is the most "formal" on the islandbut pleasantly relaxed(jackets were once required in the lobby for men).... \n \nThere are far to many "package deal" honeymooners on their first trip away from home who "lack" rudimentary social graces roaming the grounds. Urbanites beware.. \nyou'll be in your room raiding the mini-bar after 11:00pm. \n \nDon't forget to visit the "GUAVA PLANTATION" \non your drive to from the airport to Princeville. Tacky yes, but very Hawaii \nHave fun!!
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserMy husband and I started our 3 island honeymoon at the Princeville Resort and loved every second of our stay there. From the gorgeous lobby with the breathtaking views of the moutains, to the same view from our shower (you must stay in a Jr. suite to enjoy this- which we highly recommend) to the fabulously delicious breakfast spread every morning- we all around LOVED the Princeville and believe if you are able to visit the lucious island, you MUST stay here, even if it breaks the bank! No other resort on the island can compare. Definately take a helicopter ride while on the this island. It did rain for a few minutes every day, but we saw it as a natural cooling system while lying by the pool or on the beach.
