This hotel is located closer to the Kahului Airport than any of its neighbors, and it offers some of the lowest rates on the island. It is convenient to shopping, dining and attractions, and is just a short drive away from the beach, the Iao Valley and South Maui. The hotel is not nearly as scenic as Wailea or Ka'anapali hotels, but its rates are a fraction of normal resort rates. The low-rise buildings are arranged around the swimming pool. Standard modern amenities are in all the rooms.

Great beach access!

You get what you pay for at the Maui Seaside. The rooms are clean. The beach access is fantastic. Lets face it Kahului is not the most beautiful city in Maui. If you are looking for beauty you should stay on the otherside of the island. At theMaui Seaside you are walking distance from some great resturants not to metion the great resturant on the primisses. Good clean fun. That is what the Maui Seaside has to offer.

Never with this hotel chain

Chose this place as it was a locally owned and operated chain. We were seeking a native experience but the hotel is a dump. We were given a non-somking room (after a strong request) that stinked. The tiled entrance was sticky and a few barefoot steps on the carpet resulted in dirty feet. Yikes! \n \nOf course, the ocean view is limited to a couple of rooms or if you reach the pool. It is far away from the cool and hangout places. \n \nThe frontdesk people were nice and friendly. No frills but prompt for sure. \n \nThe Willey's retaurant at the hotel was the WORST experience in any of my travels. The hotel gives out $5 off vouchers to be used at the restaurant. The restaurant was serving about 5 people when we went for dinner. We waited (first mistake on out part)for several minutes before our presence was acknowledged. After a rude "Come" (sic) from the waitress, without any "Hi" or "Hello", we were seated and thrust the menu. When we did order the food, we were told in no uncertain terms that there would be "no customising" to our request to make the chicken spicy. "You can do it yourself iof you want. We make it just one way". Needless to say, we did not place the order but headed out to find a better place with a bad taste (pun intended). \n \nDo not stay at this hotel or any other in this chain. I have had two bad experiences with this chain that nearly ruined my Hawaaian vacation.

Just avarage

Value for money but that was not I was looking for. Wrong location in Maui.
