More and Maps
The central business district of New Orleans is home to one of the city's grandest hotels, the 1880s-era Le Pavillion. Having survived the Great Depression, this historic building is often called "The Belle of New Orleans".The Belle continues to practice traditions of old in these modern days, all the while staying true to the meaning of Southern hospitality. One such tradition is a nightcap of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches served with hot chocolate or cold milk each evening in the lobby.

05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserThe location of this hotel was very good, close enough to walk, if you felt good, to the French Quarter, or a short taxi ride.(not too expensive). \n \nA couple of blocks from the trolley line. \n \nThe room was comfortable, although small. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. A plus for this hotel. I would return on another trip.
05 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserI had problems with this hotel from the very beginning. They checked me in to the wrong room, a room that was already occupied. When I finally got to my room the bathroom was somewhat dirty. The staff were sullen, and made me feel like I was bothering them when I asked for information. I received absolutely no help with my bags, in fact the staff even stood by and watched me struggle!!! Then to finish it off I got billed for my pre-paid room!!! \n \nThe restaurant and bar however were outstanding, great service and great food. The peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were a very nice touch. \n \nI wouldn't stay here again.
