For beginners, our room was never once serviced. I called the front desk multiple times on Saturday to request service. I also called the front desk multiple times to request that our mini-bar be restocked, this only happened after at least 5 or 6 repeated calls to the operator. The operator, Lynn, forwarded me to the front desk, forwarded me to the Last Hurrah Bar and forwarded me to the Night Manager. She finally told me that Omni Parker House had no room service on Saturday, which I still don’t believe. After several calls it became obvious she was avoiding answering the phone and purposefully put me on hold for long extended periods. \n \n\tI finally got the Manager on the Phone after leaving a voicemail at 6:30. I called back and was put in touch with him at 7:25pm; he had not called me back. While very cordial on the phone he promised me that the mini-bar would be restocked immediately and that our room would finally be cleaned when we went out for the night. We were hand delivered only 4 small bottles of Jack Daniels at 7:45pm, while appreciated I hardly call that a restocking of the mini-bar. We then went out for the night. When we returned at approximately 3am the room had not been serviced.
05 Jun 2005 | laragyThe hotel was nice. Being our first time in Boston, the Concierge(s) was very helpful in assisting us with making reservations and getting us where we needed/wanted to go. Being in the financial district (the hotel) was good because a lot of great shopping was close (filene's, macy's, fenuil hall, etc.) However, we were haggled by homless people at least 3-5 times each day depending on which route you took around the hotel nieghborhood. The room service was excellent, and the cleaning crew was very attentive and thorough. The food in the restaraunt was good, but kinda pricey for what you got. There was no view, and it was noisey... i guess that is to be expected when staying in a older building, but i had really hoped for at least a view. Yes, the room was small, but enough space for a KING size bed and enough room to move around and be comfortable in. I would recommend this hotel to someone looking to spend a decent amount of money on travel to Boston. Be forwarned, this hotel is not a place where you can be "cheap".
